Welcome to Home Alarm System (“we,” “our,” “us”). By using our home security products, systems, or related services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing, installing, or using our products and services.

 

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, purchasing our alarm systems, or using our installation and monitoring services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

 

2. Services Provided

We offer a range of home security solutions including alarm systems, installation, monitoring, maintenance, and related technical support. Each service is provided based on the package or agreement selected by the customer.

 

3. Appointments, Scheduling, and Cancellations

  • Service appointments must be booked in advance.

  • Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.

  • Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee.

  • We reserve the right to reschedule or delay services due to unforeseen events such as weather, technical issues, or emergencies.

 

4. Pricing and Payments

  • All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD).

  • Payment is due upon completion of service or as agreed in a written contract.

  • We accept major payment methods including e-transfer, credit/debit cards, and online payments.

  • Any late payments may result in suspension of monitoring services until the balance is cleared.

 

5. Equipment Ownership

  • Equipment provided under a purchase agreement becomes the client’s property upon full payment.

  • Equipment provided under a rental or monitoring contract remains the property of Home Alarm System and must be returned upon termination of service.

 

6. Warranty

We offer a limited warranty on equipment and installation as described in your service agreement.
This warranty does not cover damages caused by:

  • Misuse, accidents, or tampering;

  • Unauthorized repair or modification;

  • Environmental factors such as power surges or water damage.

 

7. Monitoring and Response Limitations

While our monitoring services are designed to detect and alert in case of emergencies, Home Alarm System is not responsible for:

  • Delays or failures in transmission caused by internet or power outages;

  • Failure of third-party response (such as police or fire departments);

  • Losses resulting from alarm failure or non-response.

Our services are intended as an alert system, not a guarantee of safety or prevention of loss.

 

8. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate property details during setup;

  • Maintaining internet or cellular connection required for system function;

  • Ensuring access to the property during service visits.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Home Alarm System is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including loss of property, income, or data resulting from the use or inability to use our products or services.

 

10. Termination of Services

We may suspend or terminate services for reasons including:

  • Non-payment;

  • Misuse of equipment;

  • Violation of these Terms.

Clients may terminate monitoring services by providing 30 days’ written notice.

 

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. The most recent version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our products or services indicates your acceptance of updated Terms.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of Canada and the province where services are provided. Any disputes shall be handled in the courts of that province.
